Lets start at the very beginning.........

Just one month after Princess Precious Eloise came out of hospital following her heart transplant we decided to try for a third baby.........a band aid baby to make our family feel better again and to take the focus off Eloise's illness. We also didn't know if Eloise would survive and we didn't want Leah to be left an only child.
I was soon pregnant, the pregnancy wasn't easy with some bleeding scares initially and lots of stressful trips to GOSH with Eloise. From 33 weeks Millie tried to make her bid for freedom my contractions started and I was in early labour. With the add of drugs my labour was stopped, I was given steroids to strengthen Millie's lungs in case she too was premature. The next few weeks I was in and out of hospital like a yo-yo.
In the end at 3.30am on the 22nd of May my waters broke at home she was on her way. After a shower, make-up and fresh pyjamas I was on my way to hospital. On arrival I was 10cm dilated and soon pushing with gas and air .......45 minutes later Amelia Rose had arrived at 5.30am a whopping huge baby who weighed in at 9lb 15oz ouch!
I was so glad she didn't arrive on the 23rd of May as this was the day that Eloise's cardiomyopathy was diagnosed in 2002.
